Since their founding in 1985, D'Artagnan has remained dedicated to putting only the finest meats on the tables of American gastronomes. At the vanguard of the farm-to-table movement, they became a leading purveyor of foie gras, game meat, organic poultry, pâtés, sausages and smoked delicacies.

D’Artagnan began with a single product, foie gras, but their founder, Ariane Daguin, knew that the other parts of the duck were tasty, too. Soon D’Artagnan was selling the rest of the duck in confit, breast, pâté and sausage form. The farmers and ranchers that Daguin brought on board had to adhere to certain protocols, such as: never, ever administer growth hormones or antibiotics; feed animals a clean, natural, and appropriate diet of grasses and grains; allow animals their natural behaviors and space to roam.

Their philosophy is simple, as they believe food raised right tastes better. D’Artagnan has been committed to free-range, natural production and sustainable, humane farming practices for over thirty years. They support these methods so that they can offer the best-tasting, conscientiously-raised meat possible. They also educate consumers about the importance of understanding and appreciating how food is raised and harvested.

We love working with a company that is as committed to sustainable farming, education, and presenting the best product, just as much as we are.
