A Celebration of Summer's Bounty
At the end of June, Ad Hominem debuted a few dishes from our summer menu for 20 lucky guests. The progressive dinner began with tastes of lamb merguez pâté with pickled scallion and pommery mayonnaise on a crostini along with a cunning combination of radish, hamachi, and trout roe accentuate with apricot preserves and Plugra butter. Accompanying the hors d'oeuvres were three new signature drinks: herb n' legend, loan shark, and moral quandary. After mixing and mingling with their cocktails, guests enjoyed a salad of watermelon, tomatoes, shishito peppers and greens from Rebel Farm followed by a roasted leg of lamb with banana mole negro, queso fresco, lime-pickled corn, and house-made tortillas. The sweet finalé to this decadent meal included a duo of sweet corn pannacotta with kumquats and a strawberry-rhubarb tart served á là mode.
Disappointed that you couldn't attend this dinner? You're in luck; many of these dishes and drinks are now available on our menu. Our next quarterly dinner will be held this autumn - more details to come.
